Opel – Paris Motor Show
2006 – Paris, France
The world premiere of the new Antara was the highlight of the Opel participation at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. “Antara et la cité Lumière" showed a city and the urban feeling associated with it on a stand transformed with light, music and a live show.
The central element of the presentation was a wall made of hundreds of illuminated cubes in various colours, visible from far away. It showed the silhouette of a city, sometimes clearly, sometimes more indistinctly. The mood changed according to the intensity of the skyline graphic and colour of the cubes. In combination with the music from live DJs, they conveyed the impression of being in the middle of a pulsating city. Mirror effects on the ground and on the ceiling appeared to make the staging seem even larger.
Live acrobatic shows by a French troupe called “Le Parkour” emphasised the desired dynamism and urbanity of “Antara et la cité Lumière".
„Le Parkour“ are young people, who – with extreme acrobatic agility – climb and jump over all obstructions from walls to street canyons in an urban environment.
