Wonderland Wood

The master plan for the Holzstadt theme park and centre of expertise in the old harbour of Wismar envisages a unique amalgam of tourist attraction and meeting point for people, ideas and companies centred on the topic of wood.

In addition to events and tourist offers, hotel and gastronomic facilities, the planned Holzstadt is also intended to encompass the theme park “Wonderland Wood”. The subject of the main attractions “The Glass Tree”, “Planet Wood”, “Sensations in Wood”, “WoodLab“ and “Fairytale Forest” is wood as a renewable raw material and its importance for human cultural history.
As the lead agency, Bellprat Associates developed a master plan for the Holzstadt, the architectural concept and the content of the three theme pavilions in “Wonderland Wood”.
